Abstract:
      用硅粉抑制巨噬细胞和用眼镜蛇毒素降低补体水平的方法来分析和评价巨噬细胞和补体在小鼠对钩体的免疫上的作用。在硅粉处理小鼠二小时后,用具有毒力的钩体攻击,可引起急性致死性钩体感染。眼镜蛇毒素处理的小鼠对同样的钩体则不能引起发病,这些实验提供了直接证据,证明巨噬细胞对钩体感染在天然免疫上起着重要作用。
English Abstract:
      The role of macrophages and complement in the immunity of Balb/c mice to Leptospira was assessed with silica, Which depressed phagocytosis by macrophages, and Cobra Venom Factor which depleted hemolytic complement. Silica given to mice 2h before challenge with a suspension of virulent Leptospires caused an acute lethal leptospiral infection. Cobra Venom Factor did not render mice susceptible to the same Leptospires. These experiments indicate that macrophages play an important role in natural immunity to leptospiral infection in mice.
